British Pathé has uploaded its entire collection of over 85,000 historic films to its Youtube channel.

This includes high definition footage featuring Massey Shaw’s official launch and trials in 1935. Naturally the Society is over the moon about this, as previously footage had to be purchased so we’ve not seen some of it!

The vintage news items released by Birtish Pathé were predominantly featured in cinemas between 1896 to 1976 and the archive feature many other heritage sites and details about the London Fire Brigade.
