Blitz Remembered 2015

Massey Shaw, London’s vintage fireboat, joined the Fire Service Preservation Group and other organisations to mark the 75th Anniversary of the biggest “Blitz” raid on London – The Second Great Fire of London.

We were very proud to take the same journey as the Auxillary Fire Service (AFS) crews on call during the Blitz raids in 1940 to the area near St Pauls and Dowgate Fire Station where Massey Shaw was integral in pumping water from the River Thames to the land based units/fire engines.
